What is NEET?
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the gateway to undergraduate medical courses in India. If you're aspiring to be a doctor, NEET is the exam to take!
- Eligibility: Must be 17 years or older and have completed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.
- Exam Duration: 3 hours.
- Mode: Pen-and-paper based exam.
- Syllabus: Based on NCERT curriculum for classes 11 and 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Number of Questions: 180 questions in total (60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).
- Marking Scheme: +4 for every correct answer, -1 for every wrong answer.
- Results: NEET results are declared as scores and ranks. The results are used for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other allied medical courses.
