What is CLAT?
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs in India. If you aspire to build a career in law, CLAT is the exam for you!
- Eligibility: Must have completed class 12 (10+2) with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
- Exam Duration: 2 hours.
- Mode: Computer-based (online) test.
- Syllabus: English Language, Current Affairs (including General Knowledge), Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
- Number of Questions: 150 questions in total.
- Marking Scheme: +1 for every correct answer, -0.25 for every wrong answer.
- Results: CLAT results are declared as scores and ranks. The scores are used for admission to National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating institutions.
